| As you can see, it's red (girly descriptions R me). The Hybrid is a mutant combination of a Honda CR250 chassis and a Honda CR500 engine. Apparently you need to do a bit of frame cutting to make it fit, but there are people to do those things (before I bought the bike). A few more photos from different angles are here. The wheels are 17inch front and rear to allow for big and sticky tyres. I don't know much else about them really. According to the engine numbers and the nice people at Honda UK, the engine is of 1990 vintage. Although according to the part number on the carb. and the Haynes b.o.l. it is a 1992 model. Hmm. I think the chassis is a 1998 CR250 model. A recent dyno run to get the engine setup improved showed the huge total of 49.1 bhp at the rear wheel. A chart and pix are here. |
